Books that Should be Written

Postby Dr. Goodword » Wed Apr 02, 2014 2:20 pm

We have a new feature: Books that Should be Written (and by whom). Take a peek. Most of them should be written by all the characters in the GW examples, living in New Monia, PA.

"I Got my Start on Wall Street by Robin Banks"

This one works as a whole title, not just title and author. Aren't all the big banks on Wall Street?

I do believe I would not be averse to meeting the author of "How to Get Your Boss's Attention."

"I Got my Start on Wall Street by Robin Banks" is not the only one that works as a whole sentence:

"How to Become a Star by Hooker Crooke" works as a sentence, too.

Not sure how racey this site gets, but I guess the moderators will remove anything that goes beyond acceptable. That might include this quite fetching one: Scottish Gaiety by Ben Doone and Phil MacCavity

Fun additions. Say thank you to Megan for me, please.

I was looking over the list and had to laugh. It took me back 100 years to my high school days when I was a 300 meter hurdler. Back then the joke was about an occupational hazard of hurdling, the details of which could be learned in a fictional "book" called The Ruptured Chinese Hurdler" by Won Hung Lo. I figure this post will probably be nixed from being shown but, still, it had to be said!

This has been going on a very long time. I remember from grade school, back in the 60s, some stickers with book names:

The Yellow River by I. P. Daley
Brown Spots On The Wall: A Chinese Mystery by Hu Flug Poo
