Hurdy-Gurdy

Postby Grogie » Mon Nov 28, 2005 6:46 am

My Dad mentioned this very old word yesterday. It refers to a kind of musical instrument where the sound is produced by a cranking motion. I believe the instrument is also known as ''barrel organ''.

Sunny, if you hit the «edit» button, cut out http://www.hurdygurdy.com/index.htm, write, e g, hurdygurdy, mark it, hit the «url» button, insert an = immediately after [url, and then paste in the http://www.hurdygurdy.com/index.htm you cut out, you'll get something like the following :

hurdygurdy

(note that for the purposes of illustration, I have left a space after htm, which you should not do). If you then submit your posting, you should get hurdygurdy, which is what I think you were trying to do. Cool site !...
