Bull and salad

Postby linfull » Fri Dec 23, 2005 11:49 am

I pronounce "bull" as "bowl" and "salad" as "solid." I'm from northern Ohio, but my mom and her family are from the deep south. I now live in northern Michigan and many people call it an Ohio accent. Just curious. Thank you.

Honey chile, you can't help it. You are just in that cold northern state where people have to speak with their mouths closed to keep from freezing their tongues. You just go on pronouncing the way you do. I love to hear other dialects.
