I was going to say opposite, but it's not really, to primogeniture, inheritance by the Oldest son.

That depends on their gender and whether your state follows English Common Law. A friend of mine said that in our state, the oldest son can be made responsible if the parents go on welfare, but not the daughters or younger sons. A good reason to consider residing in another state!My progeny can relax. Nothing much to inherit.
