Hope you win!
I have a question: Hackney, UK. Does that place have anything to do with the term "hackneyed"?

My vote for Dr. Goodword's Language Blog. A faithful serving every day. The words are both common and arcane. The presentation contains the whole Schmear; the word itself, pronunciation, (audible, if you so desire), origins and derivatives, examples of usage, its appearance as noun, verb, adjective, etc. One will surely turn from the computer screen as an authority regarding the daily word.
