Boldface Type


A single syllable or letter in boldface type in the stems is marks the position of the accent throughout this grammar. Stems without a syllable in boldface, e.g. حدا- 'may, can', have moveable accent as described in the section of verbal accent. Stems with the final consonant in boldface, e.g. ضةط-, are consonant stems with end accent, that is, whose accent always falls on the final consonant.
