Which Means:

A walkway leading out into the water, supported by posts called pilings, and used by ships for loading and unloading and by others for fishing.

The pier is my favorite place to sit and watch the ocean.

Don't confuse this word with peer, the verb meaning "to stare" that is pronounced the same way.
