Congratulations, Kids! You've completed learning the next round of vocabulary words, and now it's time to review.

Hear It!

sacred

Which Means:

Holy, special, for religious purposes or reasons.

As In:

Image Temples are sacred places to many people throughout the world.

Heads Up!

Remember that this word ends on 'red'.

Hear It!

nimble

Which Means:

Quick and light.

As In:

Image Her nimble fingers flew over the keyboard.

Heads Up!

This word also means clever and mentally quick, so you can have a nimble mind, too.

feeble

Which Means:

Weak, having very little strength.

As In:

Image Anna's grandmother is happy to dance with her--she is definitely not feeble!

Heads Up!

This word is so weak it needs two Es to hold it together.

strew

Which Means:

To scatter around, sprinkle.

As In:

Image Strew the grass seeds on the ground.

Heads Up!

The past of this word is 'strew' or 'has strewn'. How often have you strewn your clothes on your bedroom floor?

nestle

Which Means:

To snuggle comfortably and closely.

As In:

Image The baby was nestled snuggly in its mother's arms.

You can nestle the T that isn't pronounced between the S and the L!

Which Means:

Any old way, without a plan.

As In:

Image If you don't stand your ground, you will be pulled willy nilly like a rope!

This word is made up of two words spelled the same except for the first letter of each!

Which Means:

Strange and spooky.

As In:

Image The eerie mist in the woods made me think of the scary movie I saw last week.

Heads Up!

This word has three Es--two at the beginning and one at the end.

edible

Which Means:

Suitable to eat, eatable.

As In:

Image To her husband's dismay, the supper she served that night was not edible!

Heads Up!

'Eatable' means the same thing!

Hear It!

rhythm

Which Means:

The regular beat of a song or other music.

As In:

Image He has such good sense of rhythm--he can dance to anything!

Heads Up!

Here is a word in which the Y has a vowel sound.

teem

Which Means:

To be full of or swarming with.

As In:

Image The boy's fish bowl teemed with fish.

Heads Up!

The first word you probably think of sounding like this is 'team', but that has a different meaning. Can you make an example sentence with both words in it?
