Congratulations, Kids! You've completed learning the next round of vocabulary words, and now it's time to review.

Hear It!

commercial

Which Means:

Advertisements on television or radio.

As In:

Image He auditioned for a television commercial yesterday.

Heads Up!

Commercial also relates to business and profit: Her product idea of a homework robot was a commercial success.

squeal

Which Means:

To make a high-pitched scream, like pig or a group of excited girls.

As In:

Image The pigs squealed when the farmer came into the pen.

Heads Up!

The QU in squeal sounds like KW, and the EA makes a long E sound.

crafty

Which Means:

Skillful in a negative or secretive way by tricking people.

As In:

Image He's a crafty old man, making people think he was actually working on the railroad.

To shock or surprise greatly.

Image She reached the acme of the mountain in record time.

Which Means:

A triangular shaped piece found at the end of an arrow.

As In:

Image The archeologists unearthed many arrowheads from that region.

Which Means:

The exhaust or gas from a chemical or other strong substance, usually smelling unpleasant.

As In:

Image Paint with the windows open or the fumes will give you a headache!

fret

Which Means:

To worry and be nervous about something.

As In:

Image Don't fret! I will be back soon.

The past tense and present participle of this word are 'fretted' and 'fretting' with two Ts.

Which Means:

Noisy uproar, commotion.

As In:

Image Hurly-burly erupted in the courtroom when the accused man was found innocent.
