Congratulations, Kids! You've completed learning the next round of vocabulary words, and now it's time to review.

Hear It!

right

Which Means:

Good and proper, according to rules of correct behavior.

As In:

Image Alfred did the right thing by saving his money for something he really wanted.

Heads Up!

Right' also means 'correct': That is the right answer.

Hear It!

said

Which Means:

Past tense of 'say': to speak or use the voice to communicate.

As In:

Image He said he wanted to be an astronaut.

Heads Up!

The E sound in 'said' is spelled with an AI.

things

Which Means:

More than one unknown or general object.

As In:

Image We had to memorize what the ten things were on the tray before the teacher took it away.

Heads Up!

'Things' is spelled with a TH at the beginning.

pretty

Which Means:

When something is lovely, charming, and pleasant.

As In:

Image What a pretty view you have from your house!

Heads Up!

We often say this word with a short I sound, but it is spelled with an E.

Which Means:

Now and then, not always or regularly.

As In:

Image Sometimes it snows in May, but not often.

Heads Up!

Sometimes' is made up of two words: SOME and TIMES.
