Congratulations, Kids! You've completed learning the next round of vocabulary words, and now it's time to review.

inactive

Which Means:

Not working or taking part in.

As In:

Image Vincent remained inactive in household chores while his sister completed them all.

Heads Up!

The prefix IN- means "not". Other examples of this prefix are 'insincere' and 'infrequent'.

Hear It!

preview

Which Means:

A short clip or showing of something (like a movie or play) ahead of time.

As In:

Image Have you seen the new movie preview? It looks interesting.

Heads Up!

PRE- means "before". Other examples are 'precook' and 'prefix'.

Hear It!

discontent

Which Means:

Unhappy and not satisfied.

As In:

Image The bee was discontent because there were few flowers in the area.

DIS- means "not". Other examples are 'dissatisfied' and 'disapprove'.

Hear It!

nonstop

Which Means:

Working without a break.

As In:

Image Richard worked nonstop through the night, until he fell asleep at his desk!

The prefix NON- means 'without'. More examples are 'nonsense' and 'nonfat'.

regain

Which Means:

To get again, to acquire something that has escaped or been lost.

As In:

Image Elliot's parents were to proud to see him regain first place in the race!

Heads Up!

The prefix RE- means 'again'. Other examples are 'restart' and 'rewrite'.
