dimension

Which Means:

How much a certain object appears to extend or reach in a certain direction.

As In:

Image In art class, the teacher taught us how to draw in dimension. This cat is three-dimensional because it shows height, width, and depth.

Heads Up!

Dimension' also commonly means the measurement of an object: What are the dimensions of this box?

sheepish

Which Means:

Embarrassed or bashful, having done something silly or foolish.

As In:

Image Archie asked Millie to the dance, but felt sheepish.

Maybe you'll be as sheepish as a sheep!

Which Means:

The act of noticing what is happening, sometimes watching carefully.

As In:

Image During her close observation, the scientist wrote down several notes.

Which Means:

A symbol representing something.

As In:

This one is pronounced 'ig-zist', but is spelled EX at the front.

To construct or make again.

Image It didn't take Tad long to rebuild the tower of blocks his baby brother knocked down.

The prefix RE- means to do again whatever verb it is attached to: redo, replant, rethink.

Which Means:

A place full of enchantment that fills a person with admiration and surprise.

As In:

Image Wintertime is often described as a wonderland due to the calm, sparkling blanket of snow outdoors.

Which Means:

Unlike other things it can be compared to.

As In:

Which Means:

The period of time in a male's life from newborn to 18 years old.

As In:

Image Boyhood is full of growing and exploring.

Heads Up!

The suffix -hood means a state, condition, or represents a group of people: neighborhood.
