Which Means:

Soothing, reassuring, making someone feel that everything is okay.

As In:

Image The daughter found her mother to be comforting.

Here the -ING suffix is added to the verb 'comfort' to make an adjective.

Which Means:

A bed swing made from a piece of a strong material that hangs between two trees or posts.

As In:

Image Richard relaxed in the hammock all afternoon.

Which Means:

Half of a ball-shaped object; when referring to the earth, it can refer to the northern, southern, eastern, or western hemispheres.

Which Means:

The sense of the funniness of something or a situation, what is seen as funny.

As In:

The 'er' sound in 'humor' is spelled with an OR.
