Hear It!

cabin

Which Means:

A cottage or small house, a hut.

As In:

Image They rented a cabin in the forest for their vacation.

beseech

Which Means:

To earnestly ask someone for something, to beg.

As In:

Image On hot summer days, Monty will surely beseech his parents for a trip to the pool.

Heads Up!

When you beseech someone, you clearly SEE what you want.

hodge-podge

Which Means:

A big mess or jumbled collection of things.

As In:

Image The boy's painting was a hodge-podge of different colors splattered all over the canvas.

These two words are connected by a hyphen.

sweeten

Which Means:

To add sugar, honey, or some other substance to make more pleasing, like candy.

As In:

Image Two sugar cubes will sweeten the coffee perfectly.

The suffix -EN often turns an adjective into a verb. Other examples of this are: 'lighten', 'brighten', 'deepen'.

A warm covering for the hand with one compartment for the thumb and another for all four fingers.

As In:

Image The fencers joined a tournament to see who was the best.

central

Which Means:

Located at or near the middle or center.

As In:

Image A table was in the central part of the kitchen.

Heads Up!

Central starts with a C, not an S!

Hear It!

cruise

Which Means:

To sail or vacation on a large ship for pleasure.

As In:

Image The captain welcomed the people on the cruise.

Heads Up!

Spell 'cruise' with a UI, like 'juicy'.
