Congratulations, Kids! You've completed learning the next round of vocabulary words, and now it's time to review.

Hear It!

grass

Which Means:

A short and skinny green plant that spreads across the ground like a carpet.

As In:

Image I love to lie down on the grass in the summer.

Heads Up!

Remember that grass can be cut, but don't spell this word shorter than it is; keeps the two Ss!

Hear It!

happen

Image His ice cream fell to the ground! He didn't want that to happen!

Heads Up!

The correct way to spell this word is with two Ps.

Hear It!

hobby

Which Means:

Something you like to do or practice for fun that is not work.

As In:

Image Playing soccer is his favorite hobby.

Heads Up!

Don't forget to change the Y ending to an IE if there is more than one: Earl has two hobbies.

Hear It!

Which Means:

The thing you climb to get to high places.

As In:

Image She climbed the ladder to water the flowers.

Heads Up!

Remember there are two Ds in the middle of this word!

Hear It!

Heads Up!

Even though the ending of this word (-on) sounds like 'en', remember it is -ON.

Hear It!

middle

Which Means:

In the center of or between something.

As In:

Image The book stood in the middle of the table.

Heads Up!

Remember there are two Ds in the middle of this word and the L comes before the E at the end!

Hear It!

Heads Up!

Hear It!

ribbon

As In:

Image He won first prize and they gave him a ribbon for it.

Hear It!

rubber

Heads Up!

Maybe this word bounces because it has two Bs in the middle?

Heads Up!

You can have a super supper at a restaurant--but remember 'supper' has two Ps.
