A timely word

I have heard this word misused so often that I just had to suggest it as a Good Word, specifically when it is used incorrectly in place of "uninterested".

Thank you for bringing this new and relevant word. Thanks to our illustrious governor, the public schools in Florida are banning books that refer to race or anything smacking of LGBTQ. They include "Gone With the Wind." Twisted and frightening.

I've heard it pronounced "soo" as well.

This was one of the first words that my grandfather, who was in love with the English language, taught me when I was a child. Mostly because of the spelling.
