I don't have a cat, but my dog thinks every chair in
the house, and my bed too, is hers.
There are even parts of the day I have her on my
lap as I sit in front of my computer.
Animals - aren't they great???

I get some funny things, but don't appreciate slapstick at all. Comedy movies I rarely find funny, humerous, maybe, but not really funny. I have collec...

The actor Ethan Embry, who as a boy used the
name Ethan Randall, and as such appeared in a
Christmas movie, attends a cotillion with a new friend.
"All I want for Christmas" shows the antics of a
landed gentry youth, definitely not parvenu.

It was not so long ago Sara suggested this word.
I appreciated the "scruff of the neck" images.
I guess I am guilty of using it instead of scuff of the neck.

Education: "to lead out, bring up", ex: out of+ducere
"to lead".
But as a high school teacher so much of the time
it was opening head on top, pouring in and then hoping

Slava's sentence about politicians on another

Bloviating blatherskites piling the codswallop upon us.

I knew a monk once whose name was
Brother Marcian, and he had a perpetual smirk.
Had I known the word at the time it would have
been Brother Smearcian.

This one is yet another great one for describing politicians.

Bloviating blatherskites and the codswallop they dump on us.

Really nice sentence: Bloviating blatherskites and the

Definitely.
Reminds me of the "Senator" in the comic "Shoe"
and here in this state we have had plenty of them
most recently Ben Nelson, who can be added to
the term's description.

OK, I am confused.
I went up to top of page, and looked in "Search" and
nothing appeared. How do I find previous words
