How do we account for "ναι" (nai), which is "yes" in Greek?
"No" in Greek is "όχι" (óchi).
I guess it's one of the few exceptions!

I find it interesting that the PIE word ne was basically preserved in (almost?) all Indo-European languages. On the other hand, its opposite wasn't as lucky. Examples: Germanic yes, ja, Romance si, sim, oui, Slavic da, tak, ano, ...
