Nunchi

Postby sluggo » Fri Jul 21, 2006 10:20 am

Actually I have no idea what this is and was hoping someone else would. Doesn't appear in any dictionary I can find. Usage (from a nursing education book discussion about disclosure of terminal illness):

"the truth (about patient's own condition) could be told vaguely, partially; could be understood without telling, by context and hints; or could be known by nunchi." (italics added)

Sluggo, sounds similar to our "body language"-

Korean--essentially means listening and understanding the mood and signals of the other person.

Thanks skinny, that fits. Didn't think of lighting up the old Wikipaedia.

I wooda thought they'd have put a foreign word in itals- that threw me off.
