Obdurate, whip

Postby JoannesL » Mon Sep 02, 2019 5:02 am

The discussions about Brexit, PM Boris Johnson's vocabulary, and British Parliamentary language seem to be inexhaustible sources of lesser-known words and expressions. From last week news, I have selected "Obduarcy", "withdrawing the whip", and a "three-line whip".

We've already done obdurate: https://www.alphadictionary.com/goodword/word/obdurate. Whip we haven't done and it has an interesting history and some interesting uses. It's on the list.

I really would like to have your actual name for the acknowledgement.
