While I do love words, I'll keep it simple and stick to hedonism.

For a lark, I ran apolaustic through dictionary.com. What did I get?

I can't find anything on the etymology of this word. All we know is that it comes from Greek; where Greek got it, nobody knows.

Afraid I'll have to pass on this one.
