Someone who questions. So a querent would make an inquiry, I hope without being querulous.

Just being a querent here, wondering how it is that it's taken this long for someone to notice two things about this post. One being that, while the word querent might be a bit out there, it would easily find a home in a discussion of query, which has not graced these pages as yet. Quest has made it, but not query.
And two, it has nothing to do with querulous, which has also made it to the Agora.
