rivet

Postby bbeeton » Wed Mar 31, 2021 11:40 am

A rivet is a fastener that consists of pin with a head on one end that is stuck through multiple pieces and the other end flattened down to form a second "head". It's used in situations where a smooth surface is wanted, as on airplanes.

Rosie the Riveter was an iconic figure during WWII, encouraging support of the war effort. Studying such icons can result in riveting discussions.
