Anarchy
From Greek, for without ruler. The nine chief magistrates of ancient Athens were the archons. I am unable to locate any other derivatives. The origin is unknown, as far as I can tell. And anarchy is the state of a people without a government, which seems to be the goal of the current Republican Party. Oops, did I write that?

Re: Anarchy
Taken up and treated here.
Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.
