Thither
Mostly used with yon, but apparently stand alone acceptable. This is further evidence that English is pidgin German, in that we have simplified a complex language with multiple cases, conjugations and articles. Phillip Hudson heretofore compiled a list of thither like words: hence, whence, hither, yon, yonder. We all know what they mean in context, but no one uses them in speech or if so it is considered fun or funny. I have a brass plate in the foyer of my house with "remove thy shoes". The thy provokes comments from persons of English as a second language.

Re: Thither
We haven't gone hither and thither, but we have gone yon. At least via yonder, which has been to the Dr.'s office twice, here and here.
I've always liked the phrase "hither, thither, and yon."

Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.
