This word is from the 1970s, and means the end of a section or music, a song, or a TV show. It is the opposite of Intro.
I have run across this work in some technical writings that are authored by 20 somethings. I suppose it to be in slang usage. The interesting thing on alphaDictionary I found that Brazilian Guy used it in Portuguese where "outro" means "other".
I am sure it's roots are in the performing arts, which could lead to Latin and Greek.
