Paradise

I have just returned from a holiday in Fiji where a major road contractor calls itself Paradise Digging Services Ltd. I thought that was a lovely concept - digging up paradise. Again, the word is ancient and apparently means an enclosed park. How important are our parks! And the main City one here in Melbourne is converted obscenely into a Formula 1 race track every year. The park is a construction site for four months of the year. Hardly a paradise.
