Interesting...never would have thought of the word "disruptive" in a positive way.

Reminds me of a current commercial for Shredded Wheat...touting the fact they've stayed true to their original form..."We put the "no" in "innovation". Sounds like some of the places I've worked!

Disruptive technology is a very apt metaphor. While it certainly offers new, and usually positive, options to the marketplace, it also tends to disrupt the business models of current players in the market segment.
