Words of the Year - 2014

The Oxford Dictionaries Online has announced their word of the year, one I personally do not like but can easily understand the choice:
Vape.
Perhaps best left for vapid people to use.
This one is from dictionary.com, with an explanation as to the whys and whatnot:
exposure.

Unsurprisingly, the word of the year from dictionary.com for 2020 is...
drum roll...
Pandemic.
It wouldn't have been too surprising if exposure had been the word again.
