On Saving China's Dying Languages

Here's an interesting piece from The Atlantic.

We've touched on China and what to call its languages, so I thought some might like to see this one.

Thanks for the two articles on language in China. They confirm my take on Chinese exactly. The reason for pushing Mandarin is strictly for the power it gives the central government.
It is dark at night, but the Sun will come up and then we can see.
