Words for Corruption

There are so many words for corruption or bribery that one could probably write several books on them.

Today I also learned a bit of British slang: bungs (backhanders), kickbacks as we in the US call them, I do believe.

As I understand it, bribes aare so common in parts of the world that US businesses feel impelled to pay them in order to function. As does government, sometimes confused with foreign aid.
