Language and culture go together. Respect for the elder seems to play a big role in Vietnamese. There is an Amerind language, I can't remember which one, that has many words for water. Water I can see is one word as are water out of sight, river water, lake water, water in a pot, and so on.

What does the lack of such structures in English tell us about our culture?
It is dark at night, but the Sun will come up and then we can see.

We use adjectives a lot, obviating the need for additional nouns?
