Strine, Anyone?

Here's a quirky little piece on Australian words for stuff most people know by another word. I must admit, I have no clue as to what a Devon is.

"Strine"? I've always heard Paul Hogan and the voiceover guys for Outback Steakhouse and Foster's Beer (or "bee-ih") say "stry-an" rather than "strine."

Actually, I think the Foster's guy says "uh-stry-an"...

Oddly enough, when I was living in Russia I could get Foster's beer. It was made in Ireland.
