I'm so happy to be here

Postby Pookyzoo » Thu Sep 15, 2005 4:33 pm

I found this site in my quest for definitions of words that pop into my head. I love words, language and communiction. I have a daily journal that I have my own 'word of the day'. It is usually something that just pops into my head or that I've heard or spoken recently. Today, my word of the day was 'smithereens'. Just popped into my head. Then I got to this page when I was looking up the appropriate spelling of 'doozy' and making sure I was understanding and/or using it correctly. So nice to be here.

Welcome! I hope that in addition to "doozy" you also found smithereens, which was the Good Word for May 8, 2005. Don't just visit, stick around a while!

Querulous

Postby Sunny » Fri Nov 18, 2005 12:30 pm

In my never ending quest for marvelous words I stumbled across the word Querulous. This sent me on a journey to discover the meaning and the pronunciation. What a wonderful discovery to find myself at The Alpha Agora! This is exactly the type of site that fuels my interest and my desire to bring intriguing words into my life.

Many thanks for a grand website and group!
