fell [adjective]

Postby Audiendus » Fri Dec 21, 2018 10:18 am

Fell

Evil, cruel, wicked, deadly, fierce. E.g. "a fell deed".

Usually found nowadays in the expression "in/at one fell swoop" (originally from Shakespeare's Macbeth).

Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.
