Eschew obfuscation. I was perplexed why we use The word vaccine, which comes from vacca, meaning cow in Latin, when as I erroneously recalled bos is the word for cow in Latin, thus bovine. Faulty memory, bos in Latin is ox in English.

I hadn’t bothered, until now, to examine if regimen and regiment are related. They are. From Latin, regere, to rule. A regimen is a course of diet or exercise for the sake of health. We can easily see how an army regiment required rules and discipline.
