I'm inclined to the latter "a-crn" I use the least number of letters when im talkinHmmmm..mispronunciation of acorn, eh?
Around here, you have an indication of where someone is from by whether they say "a-corn" or "a-crn"...

Thats how I say itWhere I come from in SouthTexas a significant number of the older peopel pronouncee the word "wash" with a long o and an r as "worsh".

Ahhh...southern tea--nectar of the gods and not for those with weak constitutions nor with a history of diabetes in the family. You can tell a Yankee (anyone not from the South) visiting the south when they ask for tea specifying that it be iced. Everyone down here KNOWS that iced is the way it was...
