just use it
While I was taught the "do not end the sentence with a preposition", I have rethought this (rule?). I find that trying to end the sentence with some other word makes composition awkward. I do think it important to use the proper pronoun if referring to someone. That sometimes lead to usin...

that's it
Well, now folks, if you didn't just shoot me some critical remarks, however covered with humor, I don't know what a pot-shot is. If you had wanted to, you could have been sympathic, kind, pointing out another way etc. Instead, you chose to be critical and put me down. Well, dears, I won't be put do...

a serious reply
Last time I wanted a spell checker here, I got booed. I can always go to mine on my msn site, but it is too long a break in my thoughts to have to check one word. I don't see why we can't have a spell checker here, or would that insult those who's area of experitise is spelling. Not all intelligent,...

fine with this
I am fine with what is. But I can accept any font as long as it is easily readable. It should be a 4 in size cause I have old eyes. And it should be dark enough or light enough for the background it is on.

Soft Southern sounds
Ranger, I blush at the kindness you have shown me. You are indeed a young man of wisdom who will one day teach others. Now, for the southern dialect: *** I have never studied the origion of this language. Had too much time tied up in Latin. But, I am gonna make a guess. Since most people had slaves...

Goodie
Ranger, I applaud your statements. I have found this site to be obstinately obstinate about their views. This hauteur, in my opinion, smacks of those who are afraid of being wrong. I think we must agree that there is the correct way according to whatever language one is trying to learn, and there ar...

Hooray Dude
I don't know what you used to find this pronunciation, but it is correct. We have had some duzzies. I am glad to see that someone can either just pronounce it or find the pronunciation. By the way, did you use some source to find it??? Hummm? And my merit would be that there would be less misspelled...

Still Dixie
I scored 57% and an still Dixie. In theory that is, cause if it was on the way I speak, i would be from south Georgia. The only reason I got this score is because I was taught the correct way to speak.

Another lefty
:P When I tell my husband to turn right, and I point with my hand, he always asks, "Which right?" I am left handed and almost totally right brained, and to me what is right is my left. I had troubles with some letters such as b and d in school. Now, as for pronunciation, I want to see who...

Americans fail in usage
 I do believe that the reason so many Americals, or other people in this country, use the words incorrectly is because they did not learn the correct usage in school I read here that we should not be so fussy and should allow freedom in usage, But when it is glaringly apparent that the wrong ...

Interesting how wee folk use this
I have heard this word used by people in our area who have never seen a dictionary. It is strange how they just pick it up and use it. I think the sound of it attracts them. I knew the meaning and I liked the sound, but I could not spell it for my life. I stay (whatever it is.)

Which or what
have already offered my 2 cents to this, but I will say that there are some very good replies since I wrote mine. I am German on my dad's side and Scots/Irish on my mom's side. That must be why I am so careful with what I use. Or, it could be that I am just an English teacher (retired) and very cons...
