Then it should be spelled axed, right?

This word is usually an ebonic term, and as such I don't want to go there.

My SO has some mispronountions (sic) , agsorbed for absorbed, val for valve, concreek for concrete, etc. and those drive me crazy.

Irregardless?
All intensive purposes?
Some local mispronounciation?
The way some accents employ such convoluted ways to be able to NOT pronounce an "r"?

I actually heard one of my relatives say this exact thing about people. I am ashamed of this.

A four flusher is a con man. Probably from the fact that a flush in poker is five cards of the same suit. Thus, when a player has four cards of the same suit on the table before him and bets strongly to bluff because his other card doesn't match, that's a four flusher.

Webster approves of both.
Yeah, that's what i saw, but the first one i posted was first in the dictionary, and I prefer the second, or even more the French one, but only if it's the only word in the sentance.
