I usually hear "for keeps" in the idiom "playing for keeps" meaning "winner takes all" or "this is a serious situation," depending on the context.I have occasionally heard the term 'for keeps' instead of 'for good', meaning the same thing.
In a game:
"Enough practice rounds. Now we play for keeps."
In combat:
"That last round landed kinda close."
"Yep. They're playin' for keeps."

According to this site, "and how!" might best be uttered when wearing a long black dress, fringed shawl and bobbed hair.
