To change into or become a star. ''Millions of years ago masses of gases and nuclear matter stellified to become our Sun.''

A non-astrological use might be:

After years of character acts and small bits in B-movies, he finally got the role he'd dreamed of and was stellified overnight.

One could also use this meaning in the political sense: junior politicians being stellified, etc. See: Obama, Barack; Palin, Sarah; O'Donnell, Christine, etc.
Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.
