Quisquous
This word is possibly from Latin. It means difficult to deal with. How it came into being is not quite certain.

You are welcome. The credit is due my girlfriend who suggested it, but stubbornly refuses to reveal her source. I may be forced to wine and dine her to satisfy my curiosity.

Re: Quisquous
It seems to be an archaic Scottish word, probably from Latin quisquis, 'whoever' or 'whatsoever', hence 'uncertain', 'perplexing', or 'doubtful'. A person of 'doubtful' character is one who is difficult to deal with. This word is possibly from Latin. It means difficult to deal with. How it came into being is not quite certain.

Re: Quisquous
I spoke with a Gaelic and Scottish Lit Prof and this was his response:
My layman opinion is it's more likely French, they love their Q's.Likely Scots (i.e. Anglo-Scots, the vernacular of English). There is no Q in Gàidhlig, a different language than English.

Re: Quisquous
All Scrabble and Words with Friends players love Q's.
I'm still leary of trying a sentence. Could someone try an example?

Re: Quisquous
In the current US Presidential election period, Mr. Trump, aka "The Donald," is the most quisquous of the candidates.
Does that work?
Here's another shot:
The recent onset of the Zika virus is proving quisquous for the governments involved.
I'm not really sure, as there aren't any out there that I found, so these are just stabs at a quisquous word.
