The interview segments are often short, unless the person is a well-known pop icon or political figure. It was good exposure for the alphaDictionary, though. I also noted the reference to "Mr. Beard"...

Scandalacious! He's a well-known icon 'round these parts, though I'd hesitate to call him "Pop".
Scandalicious, yet true, pops. Until he is besieged by reporters or mobbed by screaming linguistics groupies, most of us will only hear him in brief interviews. Maybe we can get him on Oprah or something...

In my conversations with the good Doctor, I find he is entirely too dignified (in a very scholarly way of course) for screaming linguistic groupies, My very brief conversations.

Mayhap they are so brief because you're not a screaming linguistic groupie :? ?

Mayhap. We were discussing some good word of the day suggestions in PM when he said he had to take off to do the interview. Just a few messages. He was telling me that they changed their email addresses due to the hacking. I should, prehaps, have gushed when he mentioned the interview on NPR.
