Another lost positive

My brother quipped this morning, as we finished up a brisk walk, that he needed to get crepit.

(It would be a great lost positive were it not for the root word crepitus, past participle of crepăre, to burst, crack.)

It's also too close to crepe.

Not at all. He had been discussing his own health and stamina.
