It is actually culaccino(at least in Italian) and it is the penultimate syllable (ci) that takes the stress.

Welcome back, BD, and thanks for the clarification. I wonder why most sites list this word with just the one c?It is actually culaccino(at least in Italian) and it is the penultimate syllable (ci) that takes the stress.

It's already happened. It's called txtng.Economic cutbacks have led to the elimination of double consonants in all languages. I fear that vowels are next.I wonder why most sites list this word with just the one c?
