Group Poem XVIII
Group Poem XVIII
The title of Group Poem XVIII is "Sweet Dreams".
The poem will consist of 6 stanzas, each of 4 lines of iambic heptameter, rhyming AABB, CCDD etc. Each stanza will begin with the words "I dreamed..." and describe a particular dream. The word "sweet" in the title may be taken literally or ironically.
Each line must include at least one user name from the Alpha Agora's list of members, used as a meaningful word or phrase. The user name(s) should be shown in bold. If two different names are used adjacently, they should both be underlined to show that they are separate. Where appropriate, capitalised initial letters in names may be shown in lower case, and spaces may be inserted between run-together words. Any numbers at the end of a name should be omitted. The user name of any past or present member may be used, even if they have never posted. There appear to be about 100 suitable names.
The person who supplies the last line of a stanza has the option of providing the first line of the next one in the same post (so that he/she does not continually have to follow someone else's rhyme).
As usual, please copy the title and previous lines when adding your own.

I dreamed I saw a country parson with an English rose
Who held the flower in his hand, then stuffed it up his nose
"The Vicar and the Deacon gave me rose seeds", he explained
And I scattered them in silence all alongside Penny Lane
I dreamed I saw Osiris with a monkey on his back

Who held the flower in his hand, then stuffed it up his nose
"The Vicar and the Deacon gave me rose seeds", he explained
And I scattered them in silence all alongside Penny Lane

I dreamed I saw Osiris with a monkey on his back
In a slow moving vehicle upon a railroad track
Ah, I see Luke just beat me to it! Take your pick, saparris – or we can have both lines if you like!
