Amidst

Postby William Hupy » Mon Oct 28, 2019 11:42 am

In the middle. It appears middle is strictly Germanic in origin. But is the suffix “st” used anymore or even necessary? Really...who says: amongst, betwixt, whilst, alongst? However, There is against.

Very popular word in crossword puzzles.
Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.
