I saw this in an article in this sentence: If true, the incident is a remarkable ouroboros of a reality TV star cosplaying political power, who then comes to hold exactly that political power.
The ouroboros or uroboros is an ancient symbol depicting a serpent or dragon eating its own tail.
From Greek, eat tail.

Re: ouroboros
I just used this worked last week.
EBERNTSON
Fear less, hope more;
eat less, chew more;
whine less, breathe more;
talk less, say more,
and all good things will be yours.

Re: ouroboros
I will use this word next week.
This word would appear to be rich with opportunities for metaphoric uses. Presumably you can have an ouroborotic argument that keeps going round and never ends because its premise can only be proved if the premise is correct - if you see what I mean. One that begs its own question might be ouroborotic?

Taken up and treated here.
Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.
