An odd little word, but fun. I can't see using it for togs, but for an affected way of saying I need new clothes, why not?

"Well, I'm off to the toggery, dear. I need new tennies."
"Why?"
"Because nine-ies are too small, and eleven-ies are too big."
Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.
