At first hello to everyone and especially to Dr. Goodword.
Regarding what I said subject, that is because I at first just suscribed in the Goodword section, so I am taking with no benifit to the giver(unfortunately though).
And the reason behind my subscription in the "Alpha Agora" is that whenever I have a question to be answered I canm easily ask here(also taking with no clear benifit to the giver). So that leads to me being a thief.
At the end of this possibly boring introduction, I say hello again to everybody.
More of a thief than a giver
More of a thief than a giver

Welcome to the thieves' den, Modi. I think I answer for all of us in saying that we all steal and give to each other whatever we can, so wade in, or dive, and test the waters.
Looking forward to reading more from you.

Welcome, Modi!
Your profile says you are a student. That means you are not here to steal but to learn, so learn all you can. We're sure you'll have something to teach us, too, eventually. Even questions can teach us something.
Many of us here do have a weird, even warped, sense of humor. Don't let that bother you!
Again, welcome aboard this ship of fools!

Thanks for your welcome.
In response to you Stargzer, I would say that when a thief visits a house he simply takes with no acceptance from the owner or gratitiude to his "generousity"; making him a thief. As for being a student, it's rare to see a student who gives credit to his teachers, though teachers give what they have willingly, so maybe that makes us, students, half-thievs.

Buttinskies are always welcome, as long as they butt gently, even if forcefully, politely, and within protocol.I thought this thread was a nice welcome to a non-native English-speaking student that has ramifications for all of us, plus newcomers. And while I'm at it, does ramifications imply we can butt in just about anywhere?

Hmm, somehow postocol and anticol come off as a bit risque to me. Then again anticol could be a brand name for something that keeps one from drinking intoxicating beverages. Would postocol help with hangovers?Protocol? Protocol? A VERY good word, but...what is a tocol and what comes before it or agin it. In other words is there a postocol or an anticol? We could do some really weird words while the Doc is on vacation!
